Festival of Frugality #59 is EXTREMELY Frugal.

No, I don’t know what that means. It just came out of my fingers and onto the screen. Anyways, the Festival of Frugality #59 is up over at Money, Matter & More Musings and it is ready for your reading pleasure. Some highlights:

The Digerati Life explains 14 ways to stop binge spending with a look at some of the triggers that encourage you to empty your wallet.

My Financial Journey trades in the BMW and picks up a 1990 Ford Escort for $900. Now THAT is being frugal!

In another car related post, Trent at The Simple Dollar goes in depth about a strategy to buy a new car. This does not follow My Financial Journey’s advice, but if you want to pick up something a little more expensive than $900, stop by here first.

My 1st Million at 33 (I am barely older than 33 and am nowhere near having a million bucks, BTW) talks about his experience buying a diamond ring online and what to look for.

      To be fair the BMW was also a 1990 although the body was pretty immaculate. Anyway I’m more of an Escort man than a BMW man anyway…those BMW drivers are weirdos, it’s like a cult…..every time I’d come out of a store to my car in the parking lot there would be a BMW parked next to it….apparently BMW drivers like to do that. With my Ford Escort nobody parks next to it :P

      So true, they are weirdos. But I suppose no different than the VW drivers that wave at each other! I think you are on to something here though, I am going to consider getting an older car to save us some money and have one less thing to worry about!
