Outside of the kitchen, sweeping in my house has been a no-no for as long as I can remember because it just relocates the dust (usually into the air). We only use canister vacuums with HEPA filters to minimize what gets tossed back into the air in the house. You should write one of these for people who don't own their home and are at the mercy of a landlord.
