Favorite Blog Wednesday - Picking Up A Nickel
The second personal finance site in my series “Favorite Blog Wednesday” is none other than fivecentnickel. This is another one of those sites that was among my first reads in the personal finance blog world and it is still a go-to site every day. FCN definitely takes the personal route in his blogging which makes for a much more interesting read than your typical money site!
Covering such broad topics as tax issues, money and the environment and insurance concerns could be a daunting task, but FCN holds it all together very well. The writing is positive and make the reader feel like he or she is participating in a discussion rather than just reading a blog post. Some interesting reads to familiarize yourself with FCN:

If you do not already spend some time at fivecentnickel, I would highly recommend checking it out. The archives are full of information going back a long way and there is a lot to discover there. Also, if you have kids, you might want to check out his other site, Raising4Boys, which amazingly enough he has time for while raising four boys!
