Do you want to come visit me and fix my place? I try really hard to have a clean environment, but my fiancé and I are both sort of hoarders. I never met a piece of paperwork I didn't like, and he collects Legos and Transformers, and we both just have so much more stuff than space to put it all. I would say that it's totally related to personal finance, though. When you have a clean space, you know where everything is, so you don't buy duplicates, or buy things that will end up useless (like, say, attachments for a kitchen gadget one cannot find, ahem).
