My Two Dollars Book Giveaway - Young, Fabulous & Broke.

720.jpg

My wife and I got this book when we got married in 2005…I guess because people thought we were Young Fabulous and Broke. Anyways, I would like to pass it along to a reader that could really use it. To be honest, some of Suze Orman’s information grinds me the wrong way, but there is still a lot of great information in this book for anyone looking for help with saving, debt reduction, buying a home, etc. And if you win the book, it’s free, so what do you have to lose?

In order to enter the contest you can do one of two things. You can leave a comment with a valid email address in the comments below, with a short note as to why you should win this book. As an alternative, if you have your own website, you can write a post about a previous post on My Two Dollars and how it helped with your financial life, making sure to link back to the post that you are referring to. If this is how you enter the contest, as an added thank you for writing about My Two Dollars, I will throw in another secret bonus book. Once your post goes live, be sure to contact me to let me know about it.

“Applications” will be accepted until 12pm PST (noon) on Friday, May 4th. I will only pay to ship the book to addresses in the U.S., so if you are outside the U.S., you can still enter, but you will be paying for shipping if you win. Assigning all entries a number(s) over the weekend, I will then my computer to randomly pick a number, and I will announce the winner on Monday May 7th sometime in the morning…when I get up. And then that week I will send the book out.

Oh, and this is my contest, so these are my rules. Applying means you accept them with no ifs, ands or buts. Ok? Ok…so to all of you looking to complain, too bad. :-)

Good luck everyone!

  1. david,

First I want you to know that I get so much great information from your site. I am 23, and will be getting married in about a year and a half. My future wife and I are already starting to plan for our future life together. I have been reading other books on this subject, but would love to read something that you recommend. Thank you for all the help.

    Tim

  2. Hi David … please sign me up in your contest. I’d love to give the book a look. Why should I win? Well, because I’m (kinda) young, (pretty) fabulous, and (sorta) broke. Mostly fabulous. :)

Also, I love reading these kinds of books, and if I do, I’ll review it on my website and link to you as a thank you!

  3. Hey… I’m a recent grad with 2 kids, trying to get by. Right about now, I think I need all the help I can get. Thanks.

  4. I am 36 and I’ve just recently started reading financial blogs. I am married and have a husband and two small kids. We’ve been a one-income family for the past 5 years while my husband finished grad school. I could have been better with my spending during this time. However, I’ve saved the maximum in my 401K and my company has a great pension plan on top of the 401K. Overall we are in good shape but find I need to spend more time thinking about our finances. Here it is 2 a.m. and I have to get up in 4 hours for work. I was up late tonight to do bills, update my spreadsheet with our assets/debt and do some research. I think a hardworking person (not to mention supportive wife) could use some help from Suze (even if she can be a bit annoying). Thanks!

  5. Please enter me into your contest! Because I’m cute??? Thank you :)
