Dude, I SO wish I'd thought of that when we planned our park wedding. It would've been serious fun, especially if you gave wrapped gifts out at random, and encouraged trading.

We ended up doing 99 cent sort-of favors for our wedding, too. We got little 2x3 picture frames for favors/place cards, and people said that they quite liked them. I like the idea of using little toys, but--too late for us to use it! *g*

What we did, sort of favor-related, that had a bigger impact were the welcome baskets for out-of-town guests at the hotel. They were quite cheap (cute little on-sale wicker baskets, bottled water and snacks bought in bulk, welcoming notes, free touristy brochures), but in terms of happiness-to-cost-and-effort ratio, they were sky-high. :D

We were going to do that too, but my mom and her mom got upset that we werent giving anything to our guests. Old fashioned I guess, but I would have rather done what you are doing...

We struggled with this too. I have never used any of the wedding favors I've gotten. We finally decided to make a donation to to charity.
