I looked into getting insurance for our 2 dogs when we got each of them but because they're royalty they live in the house. They think they own a queen size bed to sleep in if that gives you any indication of how they're treated. But I digress. Instead of giving someone money I may never need to use, and because both my animals are of a breed that need regular twice-yearly dental work, I opened a sinking fund account with ING and just automatically deposit bi-monthly into that account equal to what the monthly insurance premiums would have been.
