Looking For Advice - Anyone Ever Been To Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Mexico?

I am hoping that maybe some readers have been down to Ixtapa Mexico and might have a recommendation or 2 as to a good place to stay. We have to go to a wedding in November (#4 this year!) and while they are having it at one of the resorts, I wanted to see if maybe someone had other options for us to explore.

So…any ideas?

    1. I have been to the Solimar Inn Hotel in Zihuatanejo 3 time in the last 3 years and highly recommend it if you want a small (12 rooms), quiet, family owned and run hotel. Rooms have kitchenettes, there is a refreshing pool and Wi-Fi available in the lobby. It is in a safe neighbor with local markets nearby to practice you Spanish. The hotels web address is http://www.ixtapa-zihuatanejo.net/solimarinn

    2. Thanks Bill, will be sure to check into it!

    3. Was there 16 years ago when I was 13. Can’t help with where to say, But I will add that I have never felt softer sand.
