Most of them are many times cheaper when installed aftermarket, and half of them are just "gimmicks" that you will never use. Something like a rear seat DVD player actually isn't as flexible as a portable one, and same with a GPS unit. I must laugh at the bluetooth device connectivity because there is about 10 people in my life that knows what it is and 4 of those have bluetooth on their phones. Then from those 4, there are 2 people that knows how to turn it on and off. I think all the options are actually just another way for the auto makers to make money off you. I don't think I know what Bluetooth or a rearview camera even is. I just wanted to chime in and agree with you on the DVD player. I laugh at people who have modes for entertaining their kids during every possible moment of boredom or downtime and then wonder why they can't sit still ever! Some of my best memories are of the rambling conversations that happened in the car over long trips.
