I decided to keep our emergency fund at our low-interest brick-and-mortar bank because if something ever happened to me, it would be easier for my husband to take over managing the finances (the number of accounts I juggle makes his head spin). We lose 1-2% in interest but it&#039;s an acceptable trade-off for us.</description>
