We were just in Boston and spent a few hours out in Concord at Walden Pond. Pretty inspirational day. I thought this Friday’s quote should be from Henry David Thoreau after my visit, so here goes:
“Do not hire a man who does your work for money, but him who does it for love of it.” - Henry David Thoreau
Hiring someone that only likes your money and not the work is, in my mind, a recipe for disaster. When I did hire people, I always looked for the person that had some sort of desire to do the job…not just make the money.
To those of you in the U.S., have a great long weekend!

I use a lot of freelancers for different projects - its easy to find someone to take my money but harder to find someone who enjoys the work/challenge - finding someone like that is priceless!

Great quote!
Maybe we should start ask one question before we ask how much they charge…. Why do you love what you do?
I think that would be a fair question Dawn!
