Sunday Money Roundup - Back From Boston Edition.

Not only did we have a great visit to Boston, but the Red Sox managed to lose 3 straight to the Yankees. Right on! Glad I was home for those games. Here are some articles that caught my eye this week that you should check out:

  • Wise Bread tells you how to get right to the top…of customer service. If you are tired of being on hold waiting for help, this article is for you.

  • Silicon Valley Blogger asks “What color is your job?”. And I begin to wonder…if I am at home in my sweats, what color job does that give me?

  • Five Cent Nickel discusses “Longevity Insurance” and decides he doesn’t need it. Honestly, if you are saving and investing as a younger person, you don’t need it either.

  • Lazy Man & Money has a Save Money series, and this is a good place to start - Saving money on movies, music, TV and books.

  • Money, Matter & More Musings discusses money leaks…and where you should look for yours.

  • Clever Dude wants you to examine your motives, and this time it’s about changing your job.

  • Generation X Finance looks at an investing newsletter and tells us why we should not put too much faith in them.

  • Plonkee discusses donating money…who do you give money to and why?

  • Get Rich Slowly tears into advertising that tells parents that they have to buy stuff for their kids in order to be good parents.

    • That’s all folks! It’s a long weekend here in the U.S. and I plan on taking Labor Day off from all things computer/internet related, so see you on Tuesday!
