While the banking system might not be on the verge of collapse, there are definitely dark clouds on the horizon. From my safe vantage point here in the UK, I can scratch my head over American complacency. With the dollar headed south, central banks warming to the Euro, and massive trade and government deficits, the U.S. doesn't strike me (and many others) as a very attractive place to send my money these days. A liquidity crunch is the last thing the market needs right now. I’m with you on this one. While the banking system might not be on the verge of collapse, there are definitely dark clouds on the horizon.
