I feel all old school because my very first computer, a commodore 64 lol, I used a TV as my monitor.

:)

(Now I like to watch TV while using the computer, I am a multitasker with no attention span. lol)

You can also just get a TV tuner and use your current computer setup for your TV viewing needs.

You can only use a TV for a monitor if you have a DVI output from your computer, and many people don't as it is a "newer" thing. Most TV's do not support the old standard, VGA.

Actually I believe most if not all the LCD TVs have a way to plug the computer into it. So maybe we should just look for LCD TVs instead of monitors that can be TVs too.
