There's a reason our cars are smaller on average.

Petrol is the equivalent of $7 a gallon over here (UK) and has been for several months. I remember when I was in college I drove to California w/ some friends back in 1999, and I was freaking out that gas was $2.75.
It is more than that here, now.

Wow! BUT if there is anything wrong with gas prices it is that they are too low. High gas prices will encourage the market to come up with more fuel efficient solutions and will make alternative energy sources more economically viable. So, yeah, I will spend a bit more at the pump.

$3.47 at the “cheapest” gas station on my way to work.

BUT if there is anything wrong with gas prices it is that they are too low.
