One thing I taught my children when they were beginning to rent was to drive thru the parking lot-during the day and during the night to see how many residents worked at either night or day, also to see the condition of the cars in the lot. Are they raggedy, have bullet holes, well maintained? That tells the type of clientele that lives at that complex.
