Swango – Online Clothing Swap Where Everything Is 99¢.
Are you truly frugal? Do you buy your clothes second-hand? If you are not into buying clothing at full retail price and enjoy thrift store shopping instead, you should probably check out Swango.com. They are an online clothing swap where every single item is only $0.99 – much less than your typical thrift or Goodwill store! And not only are all items only $0.99, but a percentage of that dollar goes to Dignity U Wear, a non-profit organization whose goal is to positively impact the lives of children in need by providing them with brand new clothing. It’s a win-win for both parties, which is pretty cool.
I went looking through the site and found a bunch of stuff I am considering getting, including American Eagle & Gap shirts and some Steve Madden men’s shoes. For a grand total of $6.00 ($2.97 plus shipping of$3.00) I could get some pretty nice clothes. Much easier than walking around the second-hand store for hours, no?
No, the company did not contact me to write about them, I just think it’s a cool idea to help people save money and help the environment by buying clothing used. Plus, if your local thrift store never has anything cool in it, at least here you can find decent clothes that might still be in fashion…while saving yourself a bunch of money!
That’s pretty cool, I’m going to check out the site. Love to get some Gap or Madden stuff on the cheap.
These are the type of posts I’ve come to enjoy… reading about good deals and in this case (stores) not many people are aware of.
Awesome find! I was reading about the point system and everything. It seems like a lot of fun too!
I wonder if this site will catch on. I hope it does, it really is a great idea!
I know I am reading this late but I had to comment and say thank you for posting such a great find. I have been a long time member of many swap sites but this one sounds like it will be my new addiction!
What a great find! I really liked the kids/baby section!
Thanks for sharing this!

Odd the company contacted me to write about them.
This link does not work and neither did any other one’s I tried. I typed into browser as well. Bummer!
Thanks
Tried the Swango.com site, it’s not working…
They went out of business a little while back.
