I quite disagree. Buying a dozen roses is just expected. Purchasing a whole house full of roses would be quite an expense! But that single rose — when presented properly — can be more beautiful than an entire rose garden!
If all the thought you put into Valentine’s day is a single rose on the way home from work, yes, you’re cheap. If you spent a week planning how to use a single rose to express your love, you’re a successful romantic.
Slinky – I don’t disagree with you at all – it’s just a quote. And if you are going to buy flowers on Valentine’s Day(which I personally think is kind of a waste of money) you should probably buy more than 1. My wife thinks it’s dumb to buy roses at all because of the cost…she’s a smart woman.
