Great post! I especially like #3. I have two degrees in obscure areas and its fine because I wasn’t doing job training, I just love to learn. But so many students think a BA in not much is going to make them money, and anymore that just isn’t true. Sadly, most of the jobs you can get with a liberal arts degree you can get without a liberal arts degree. That’s not an argument against liberal arts, its just a fact. Job training and college are not synonymous. Knowing that can prevent a lot of frustration and resentment.

It’s sad that not enough teenagers actaully act even when they get this info. This is the stuff that can really change lives if acted upon early in life.
Choosing your path in life is hard, and more emphasis should be placed on teaching the young people in this world how to prepare for life.
