I had been using mint.com for almost 3 years and, for most of that time, I didn’t have any problems with them. In fact, I liked them very much until, about a few months ago, after it got purchased by Intuit, mint.com started to suck! All of a sudden, my previous data got deleted (except for the most recent 6-month history)which was odd and random. When I contacted customer support, I didn’t hear anything back. I ended up deleting my account because it just freaked me out. Anyway, I’m now looking for something similar to what mint.com used to be so I can manage my money without concerns. I don’t mind paying a small fee for a good service. Any ideas?

Not sure how many like to budget online anonymously without giving out access to bank accounts and how many heard about this website but I used Out Of The Dark (OOTD) Budgeting for over a year now and it really changed my life financially. It has budgeting and expense tracking on one page side by side which I love, it has cash put-aside and personal stock management built in, and it has something called Credit Card Debt Terminator which I have not seen anywhere else which is great if one wants to get out of any credit card debt situation, it is completely anonymous to use, does not require me to give out access to any of my bank accounts and it’s unconditionally free. a lot of these sites, i have checked out myself. Many have great features,but the decision is always a personal thing ,depending on your own personal situation. thanks for the helpful advice.

I’ve used Mint.com and it didn’t work with my bank USAA. It is listed, but after a week it stopped updating the transactions.

I’ve also used MySpendingPlan and was not impressed.

I’m currently using Quicken’s free online software. It downloads transactions automatically from my accounts (hasn’t stopped) and it also allows me to manually add transactions (mint.com doesn’t.)

I’m curious to know why Kelly, or anyone else didn’t like Quicken.
