1 – I work around 10-15 miles from home. Taking the bus would cost me about $1000 a year. I may in future end up with a motorcycle, but I carpool right now anyway. I would consider biking, except for the showing up sweaty to work part.

2 – I bring all my snacks from home, and most of my lunches. I have a budget for eating out at lunch. $10 a week, max. This means I can go out once or twice if I’m frugal. I like going out because it’s good networking (especially since I just started at my present company) and sometimes I have a ‘date’ with my fiancee.

3 – I drink herbal teas that I bring from home or water. The tea is usually loose, and I just add water and heat it up (or not for iced) all day long.

4 – I am a geek, and we are unofficially casual dress. Sometimes I dress up a bit, sometimes I come to work in black jeans and a geeky t-shirt.

In conclusion – I think I’ve got this down.
