Wow! I thought that only happended in Portugal where they spend billions of euros to build High speed train systems just to get to the destination 1/2 hour earlier than it would take a normal train. No to mention nobody’s gonna ever use that high speed train cause it’s gonna be more expensive than if you take the plain!! :-S

It’s upsetting the amount of waste there is in the government, this bit is nothing.

Plus, everyone knows you don’t grow money, you just print it (or stamp it out).

This is maddening … infuriating … inexcusable. Perhaps we shouldn’t be out nation building and simultaneously destroying our own nation’s ability to survive.

I’m sure that the sailors do a fine job, and serve their country with pride and great honour, but the question has to be asked ‘Does the Pakistani Navy have gold plated ships?’.

I strongly suspect that there is a company selling air defence radar that knows someone who knows someone in a very senior position in the department of we have more money that we know what to do with.

On balance, maybe I don’t want to know where the British government has been wasting their money. We’re waiting for the vote by MPs on how much money MPs are allowed to claim as expenses each year. They also vote for their own payrises. Something is definitely wrong there.

“Our government throws money around the world like we grow it inside the White House, while continuing to decimate the finances of our public schools, roads, bridges, fire and police forces, etc” –spot on. It makes absolutely no sense.

Oh I got a kick out of this post. Like you, it really makes me happy to see my dollars being put to good use. I’m sure I wouldn’t have lost them!
