Sunday Money Roundup – Testing Out The New Life Edition.

Well, we just wrapped up our second week here in New Mexico, and so far so good. Still finding cool places to eat and hang out, which is always fun when moving to a new place. Eventually I will be happy sitting in the house and relaxing, but there is so much to do that it is hard to sit still! But when I did spend time in the house, I came across a whole bunch of great articles, and here are 10 of them that really made an impact. Oh, and there is one bonus one at the end. Enjoy!

Cash Money Life wants to know how much should you tip? I usually tip 20%, and have an article coming up soon on my thoughts about tipping at different places.

Debt Kid talks asks if having more time equals having more money. I would say yes…as long as you don’t use that time to go out and spend money.

Being Frugal is buying a house! Head on over and congratulate her and her family…

The Suns Financial Diary discovered an interesting website called MyGallons – can it save you money at the pump with locked in gas prices?

Quest For Four Pillars has some tips on packing light for traveling by plane, especially if you have kids. Tired of lugging 10 bags on-board with you? Check out this post then!

The Digerati Life talks about selling your house and donating the proceeds to charity. While I don’t see many people doing this, I definitely would if A. I made out like a bandit and moved somewhere cheaper or B. I was on my way out…of life. Would you ever consider it?

Money Ning has some great ways to stop the flood of junk mail coming to your house. Personally, I cannot stand this crap and do everything I can to keep it away.

Brip Blap has Part II of his article “I will not pay for my children’s college education“, and I mostly agree with him. My parents were well-off enough that they paid for most of mine, but if it is a battle between my retirement and their college education, well…I just don’t know what will happen.

Prime time Money has 6 tips on how to earn hundreds of dollars per hour. Looking for inspiration? Look no further!

Squawkfox has 10 free ways to get into fitness this summer. Check this article out for frugal ways to get fit while the weather is still nice!

And as a bonus this week, here is a disgusting yet fascinating article about riding the subway over at Clever Dude. Be forewarned, it’s gross.
