Thanks for including me in the roundup! We picked up an outdoor fireplace from Craigslist and I’ve got some wood-collecting to do myself here in a few days. We plan to have a frugal fun night “campfire” edition over the weekend.

Haha! I second that on keeping your feet clear! I remember a saying by Abe Lincoln: “If I had 8 hours to chop down a tree, I’d spend 6 hours sharpening my axe.”

I haven’t used an axe for years… The trick is to let the weight of the axe head do the work, and keep your feet clear! Thanks for the mention.
