Money Quote Friday – Characters Are Steadfast Edition.
Have a great weekend everyone…

If you haven’t checked out the My Two Dollars Free Magazines page lately, you might be missing out on free subscriptions to your favorites. Why pay for a magazine you want when you might be able to get it for free? I just took a look at what they had, and I might be picking up a few for myself. But remember – don’t just get one because it’s free, get it because you actually want it. Unwanted free stuff just makes more clutter and waste!
I know this is not something that normally would have anything to do with My Two Dollars, but I have gotten a few emails over the last couple of months asking to see what my home office looks like. I realize that many people often wonder how others are able to work from home (and some even send nasty comments telling me I am lazy because of it), which is why I wrote a few posts about how I make money and surviving after leaving a corporate gig in the past. But wanting to see pictures of where I do it? That was a first. So without further ado, for those of you who are interested, here are a few pictures of my home office where I spend a good majority of each day…
I received this quick question the other day from a reader:
“If I lost my job last year and didn’t make that much, do I still have to file my taxes?”
Over at Smart Money, there is a pretty good article covering 10 things that your grocery store may not be letting you in on in these tough times. While I am sure some of these are true, we shop at a locally owned natural grocer who, in a small town like this, would be shuttered pretty quickly if they tried to pull one over on customers. That being said, check out 5 I picked out from the list and see what your grocery store might not be telling you:
