What a fun story!  :)  My husband&#039;s car just died (and is too rusty to safely repair) and it had over 215,000 miles - and he bought it for $1600 in 2004 with 42,000 miles. The article said that he modified the engine when he was in high school - so the car could go over 80mph when the standard engine wouldn&#039;t go much over 55.
