PFBuzz – Discover And Vote For Your Favorite Personal Finance Sites.

As if he has not been busy enough already – my friend and fellow M-Network member Pinyo over at Moolanomy has just unleashed his newest project, Personal Finance Buzz.

PFBuzz acts like Digg, but it is only for personal finance related articles. Users can submit articles, vote all submissions either up or down, and even follow along by RSS. So if you write your own site, follow any personal finance sites or want to vote up your favorites, be sure to stop by and check out Pinyo’s new project PFBuzz. And while you are there, help our My Two Dollars and give some articles an Up Vote! ;-)

Low Or No Cost Blogging Tools Save Me Money And Time.

moleskin-thumb.jpg

Although this might not seem too “personal finance” related, it kind of is…most everything I use for blogging is free of charge. Sure, there is the cost of the domain name and the hosting account, but most everything else can be found for free or very cheap. The reason I am writing this is because I got an email from a reader asking what kind of tools I use to run my site, and instead of just answering him directly, I figured I would put it out here for anyone else who might be interested. And away we go!

Sporadic Posts This Week At My Two Dollars.

Due to the fact that my wife is graduating from school on Thursday and we have family here in town, my posting schedule is going to be a little light. I figure they don’t want me sitting at a computer all day while they are all out having a good time, so I won’t be around as much. Please bear with me, and I have a few posts scheduled to go live during the week so I won’t be gone completely. Thanks for sticking with me!

Can You Really Make $80,000 A Year Blogging?

Oh yes, you most certainly can! Probably not by using Adsense and the like (unless you are a top blogger), but there is a contest going on called “Blog For A Year” that will award an $80,000 stipend over the year for you to blog on any subject you choose to go with. You can quit your day job and take a shot at professional blogging, which could open many more doors if you had free time for a year to maintain it.

You can learn more about this contest at Blog For A Year, and if you feel up to it, why not enter? Only blogging for 365 days would be quite cool, no?

Free Subscriptions To My Two Dollars!

That’s right, My Two Dollars has free subscriptions…to it’s own site! Subscriptions are available in two flavors, RSS and Email.

RSS Feeds

For those of you familiar with RSS and News Aggregators, you can add My Two Dollars by clicking RIGHT HERE. Every time My Two Dollars is updated, you will get the content delivered right to your reader of choice. I recommend NetNewsWire to manage RSS feeds, but there are a lot of them out there, including many free ones.
