Tip’d: A New Financial Social Media/Bookmarking Site.

tipd

There is a new kid on the social bookmarking circuit – Tip’d – and he is here to promote your finance articles to those willing to listen. We all use Reddit, Digg, and Stumble Upon, and I use PFBuzz quite a bit as well, and Tip’d looks like another winner in the social media world, especially if you are interested in financial stories. See an article about money somewhere on the internet that you think others will like? Share and promote it on Tip’d simply by either clicking on the little Tip’d logo below the article (if the author uses Tip’d, like I do) that looks like this:

Sunday Money Roundup – Friends In Town Edition.

I love when people come visit us here – they are amazed at how beautiful a place this really is. My wife’s best friend and her husband are in from Chicago and we are having an incredible time showing them around our new hometown. So while I get back to entertaining, let me leave you with these 10 articles that caught my eye this week. Enjoy your Sunday!

Sunday Money Roundup – Axe And Saw Edition.

So, this week I actually went to the store and bought a new handsaw and a new axe. Mind you, while I have always used a handsaw I have never used an axe. But when you are in charge of getting and cutting your own firewood, you need to learn quickly. I got my permit to collect down and dead wood in the National Forest, and will be doing some of it this weekend. Wish me luck, and let’s hope the axe splits the wood and not me! On to the roundup….

Sunday Money Roundup – First Snow Edition.

Yep, we have snow. Not in our yard, mind you – but up in the mountains surrounding my little town. It is still in the 70′s during the day but at night it is in the low 30′s already. Looking forward to seeing what my first winter in 13 years brings! This week’s roundup is of the old fashioned kind – a roundup of my favorite posts from my friends in the M-Network. If you are not subscribed to all these sites, you are missing out on some great content each and every week. Here we go!

From The Archives – October 2007.

For those readers who have recently come on board to My Two Dollars or for those of you who may have missed a few of these, here are some articles you may have missed from this time last year. With over 1,100 posts, even I forget about some of them. Enjoy!

Money Mistake Monday – The Oh Crap I Waited To Long To Save For Retirement Syndrome. – A lot of young people cannot see the future that far out, and that is why they put off starting to save for retirement, and I was one of them. I did not start really saving for the future until I was 28 years old”¦6 years after getting my first full-time “real job”.
